Ammo drop-off decreased in the last couple of days. I do 5 x 2 man missions, usually in locations where I can find guns and ammo. My ammo consumption on these missions are 700-800, depends of weapons I choose, but i manage to scavenge only 500-600 ammo. In the past was a balance between ammo consumption and findings. Maybe it's a way to make us pay more for this game?

The new layout gun places (police, security, gun store) are poorer than the old ones, I can barely find something besides junk.

Please tell me if I'm wrong.

Unless you're running all-melee 5-man teams has always been costly for ammo.   375 Ammo per mission ( 750 / 2 ) seems risky proposition to me for all but military bases, 750 ammo per mission seems insane even for military bases.   I'd have said that nine months ago, not just now, so no the ammo drop rate has not changed.

Perhaps you were running with an ammo conservation book and recently unequipped it?  The set of boosts in the last round included a 20% ammo conservation, so I tried unequipping my 50% ammo conservation book.   Even for 2-man teams (using 666s) it was a a struggle to maintain positive ammo counts, so I reequipped it.

I'm still making up my mind whether i'm being overwhelmed with junk with the new layouts, and ammo drops going down. My spidy senses have been activated, though I can't help think we may be forgetting our lovely high-end guns are juicy, even those lovely new KS-25s which dish out hell at quite a surprising low ammo count for the drop count they deliver, but three of them and two more lavish guns is still a lot of ammo slightly cheaper stats may have made looks deceptive. Still not sure, loads of guns  and gear in the new areas where you would expect to find them.

It may be I am currently running a lot more manual missions without running autos at the same time with melees, because I am still loving the new layouts. Who knows..

But maybe, with some of these awesome new guns.. it may be time to perhaps consider Ammunition Fanatic Magazine in that there Dead Zone store?

Unfortunately for me, I don't have a free book slot for an ammo conservationist book. See I got White Flag, Mission Specialize, Shiny and City Shortcuts and those I can't play the game without. The book may be considered as another "game goal" that's supposed to keep my interest playing saving up fuel but since I can't use the book that's one less reason to fervently log on.

Well quite. Unfortunate there isn't a variant of the DMU, or the need to have that mission specialise book for the reasons you give. I ran into exactly the same problem with the last non-DMU account I had, which I was actually quite enjoying the journey times with a shortcuts. But having to dock a white flag sort of killed all that. You tend to run out of ammo fast without a conservationist, and this game is pointless without a shiny docked during the majority of your missions.

I deleted that account when the fun evaperated away from gameplay.

Maybe my english is poor - sorry about it :)

I'm running 5 missions with 2 man teams (one man always melee).  I never used ammo conservationist, my slots are fully occupied by other - I say - more useful books.

If you're using 2-man teams with one melee per team, running weapons locations only, then what are you using for guns?

Sure that LMG mows down zombies like there's no tomorrow, but a good AR will work nearly as well -- for half the cost.
