By the letter of the law, yes it's ban-worthy. In practice, provided you don't do anything else ban-worthy, developers tend to look the other way. Husbands share accounts with Wives, parents have access to their children's accounts, etc.
The main reason it's ban-worthy is because, if you (or the other player) does something else which earns a ban (ex. hacking), they'll ban all accounts linked to that player, because the object is not to ban the account, but the player. So all the warnings about sharing accounts are more about about protecting you, then warning you not to do it. (i.e. if you share your account with a idiot that gets banned, you'll get banned too).
