Hi there!

As you may noticed, the developers have almost reached level 50 content, after that, the game won't get new areas, only new content. That's why I thought that Con should start a new MMO, only not in zombie theme (which is quite boring now, as there are many games with zombies ). I have also noticed that there is not a single one science fiction MMO, which would be good enough to play with. It would be similar to Dead Zone, but not the same. The head could be human, but the team would be interstellar, as different alien forms could fight along with the main character. Also, hostile aliens could attack the compound, where the team rests. Instead of fuel, spice is needed to craft/ upgrade etc. Completely new weapons and gear would be used in the game. When there is new incomer, we could choose from different alien life-forms, with their ows strengths and weaknesses, similarly to Mass Effect. (Even flying ones could be implemented in the game, hopefully pathing could remain the same as in this game). With new areas, we could travel to new galaxies, meeting new lifeforms and new allies/dangers.

As you may have noticed, there is a big possibility in this idea, and I hope you will like it. I am interested in your opinion, comment please. I simply ignore trolls. Thank you for your attention.

Changed the title to save confusion.

First off, this should go under the "General Discussion" area of the general CAG website, not under the "Dead Zone General Discussion" forum.

Anyway, it's their choice what to make next, but let's focus on DZ first, since it's not even out of Beta. Besides, out of Beta does not mean that development stops. Probably.

Not only does your idea sound like a massive undertaking for a 4 person team. I have to point out that this;

I have also noticed that there is not a single one science fiction MMO

Is quite simply wrong. Based on Armorgames alone, the obvious/easy to find ones include;

http://armorgames.co...line-game/15576

http://armorgames.co...rbit-game/15574

http://armorgames.co...tars-game/15325

http://armorgames.co...line-game/14656

http://armorgames.co...laxy-game/13916

http://armorgames.co...suns-game/13510

My understanding is that development of this game took a couple of years before it was even first released. Since then, there have been numerous updates ranging from the simple (connecting barricades) to the more complex (alliances and wars).

Has Con or another member of the team ever given any indication that their next project will be space/sci-fi themed? I know full well he has stated this game will continue to be developed as long as there is a player base for it;

Good to hear, I have a feeling it will be viable for a very long time.

Well, thanks so far for the answers, and you are right, i made several mistakes with this thread. I was reluctant where to post it, and as I am not familiar with this forum, I tried to post it in a place, where it is not in the mainstream, but still some players will read it. And yes, there are science fiction based MMOs on Armorgames, but they are too cheap to play with.

But I never said that if one game starts, the other should be finished. There could be a coexistence, like Blizzard runs WoW and Diablo III at the same time. Con stated in an announcement:

"Steve has spent quite a chunk of time getting the survivor and infected pathfinding refined to a much much better and efficient system. Maps should now run faster, infected attacks on your compound should never slow down. In fact, a lot of the performance issues that users were having were related to the pathfinding. The work he's done here will make our future games better too." Future games is the key expression here, I think.

And I never want to say to CAG what to do, I am not their boss, i only want to see the same game structure in a different game genre. I like what they do, and I only thought that after leaving beta, the developers will have some spare time to start to make a new game.

For my part, end of discussion, I let the topic die.

I was reading, it sounded like mass effect, then i read further, and i found it was based of mass effect.

I wouldn't mind another zombie game, but instead i'd like an Open world multiplayer thingy majigger instead of an instance based one.

First of all for all you know they could decide to raise the level cap so this game is going nowhere

Achievement get: Thread Necromancer

This is not achievement hunter. Take your achievement hunting somewhere else- like, say, anywhere but here.

"Congratulations! Senseless thread necromancy has earned you the "annoying dude" achievement!" -Me.

be nice if they did make a game like this, that they add strategy into it, kind of like xcom strategy.

Since we have dark arts' practitioners in full work, I could spend my input as well; I'd like to see TLS:DZ fine-tuned into "full release" (in current state it's "open beta") before any successor games. At this moment there are many international browser-based games, only the newest stuff gets the most attention. Then there are these even more massive companies with more solid player base.
