Howdy,

I just started playing this, and gotta say it's really good.  It's definitely a step up on the rest of the series (which were also pretty good).  That said, my game is crashing... a lot.

Build Number: 2605 v1.45

Browser: IE v11.0.14 (I don't have any add-ins for my browser)

Flash: v15.0.0.223

Description: The game freezes, the screen goes white, and has a exclamation mark in the middle.

Severity: HUGE PAIN IN THE A$$!!! (Major)

Reproducibility: If I do 2-5 missions without refreshing the browser.  After a refresh, I can get at least 1 mission in, but beyond that it's just a coin flip.

Steps to Reproduce:

- There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it, but most of the time it's when I go to the map to start a mission.  I click on the map and I can see it lagging, because the interactive parts of the map load but not the artwork, then it crashes.

- Recently it's been happening when I'm in a mission and interacting with something (eg. scavenging, trying to heal, even clicking the leave button to end the mission).  But there is still a tell tale bit of lag before it happens.

- The only thing that might be unique is that I play in full screen mode...

I've been playing through Armor Games website, but am willing to try something else if there is a more direct route to your servers... Any suggestions?

P.S. I didn't see any sort of template for posting bugs, so I just gave you the information I thought pertinent.  If you need more, let me know.

Obviously this game doesn't run properly with IE.

You can hardly visit Unidentified Buildings without crashes and have to refresh at least after two missions.

Flash Player crashes more often than with Firefox or Chrome but is loading faster with IE.

I already mentioned this issue in different threads ... no official answer so far.

Guess the whole team is busy creating some Z-Mas stuff instead of fixing bugs/exploits and things like that.

That is a crash of the Flash system and out of the game developers control unfortunately.

Some players have [previously reported a memory leak. Once that builds up, Flash will crash. A temporary solution is to clear your cache after a couple of missions. It's far from ideal but should stop it happening.

I have noticed a memory leak when CHAT is connected -ONLY-
And the crash of flash can be either because of something in the code or out of developers control. At least verifying this is good enough for players :)
About the zmas stuff, this is a great developer team, let then work :)

I came here because I like crash bandicoot. Sadly, this post isn't about Crash Bandicoot.

You're on to something there.  I opened my task manager to watch the memory usage and there's definitely something strange going on.

My game taps out at around 1.5GB of memory in use by IE (I have 8GB total).  When I first load the game, it starts off around 345MB of memory.  It will hold steady if I'm not doing anything in the game.  When I open the map it jumps by about 400MB (to 745MB).

Here's the really interesting part, when I close the map about 250MB drop out of memory... This leaves an extra 150MB just hanging there each time I do this.  In other words, if I start a game I can crash it by just opening and closing the map 6 times (ie. 345MB + 400MB - 250MB + 400MB - 250MB + 400MB - 250MB + 400MB - 250MB + 400MB - 250MB + 400MB = 1.5GB = CRASH)

I think this is an issue with the code, not Flash.  Something isn't being released from memory when you close the map (and when I say something, its probably a lot of little somethings).

Sorry for the misleading title :'(

Yep, that's your machine running out of allotted memory for Flash.

What sort of machine are you playing on? Specs (aside from the RAM obviously)?

I've attached a zipped DxDiagnostics text file which has the detailed description of my machine.  But if you just want the bullet points:

OS: Windows 7 Pro - 64Bit

Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Pro

Processor: Intel i7-2600K 3.40GHz (not overclocked though even though it's the K)

Memory: [2x] Corsair 4GB DDR3-1333MHz

Video Card: [2x] NVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti (these aren't SLI'd because I've got 4 screens)

Storage: [1x] Crucial M4 128GB SSD, [1x] Western Digital Black 1TB HDD

See the attached file for more details.

P.S. I don't appreciate the censorship... Fukkk Offf is a DJ and my avatar was a cheeky bit of audio levels... If I used Nirvana's Nevermind album cover would it get censored for child pornography?  Or is it just that Fukkk is more offensive than a baby's penis?

Just curious because nobody told me why they took the avatar down, and frankly I feel like the priorities are skewed...  This is just a theory here, but if someone is offended by Fukkk (which isn't even a word btw) I think they would be pretty offended by a game that's sole objectives are to kill everything you come across and steal from other real players...

I'd at least like some insight as to why a DJ's stage name is considered more offensive than stabbing a dog in the face with a machete.

Same issue here, and with everybody i know of too :P

Chrome & FF both crap out if RAM usage at 2GB or so. If not an actual crash, then it's just insane choppy performance.

The bigger the mission is, the more memory seems to leak. In low lvl small maps most of used RAM is released after, in bigger ones nothing is released.

Also Unidentified Buildings, just 1 mission and RAM usage goes from 300MB to 2GB & it's a coinflip weather or not you crash when exiting.

Win 7 64 Ultimate

ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution

Core2Quad Q8200 2.33GHz (OC'd @ 3.4GHz, Custom built watercooling)

16GB DDR3 1333MHz (OC'd @ 1400MHz)

2X Radeon HD4890 1GB GDDR5 (OC'd @ 1.05GHz Crossfire'd, Custom built BIOS, Custom built watercooling)

Memoryleak repeatable with PC's that have half the stuff, or brand new top-of-the-line. No difference in what happens.

Really annoying bug.  Happens to me during a Hospital raid.  I need those cloths.   This is why I am hesitant to pay for the death mobile and commit any purchases before Con fix this.
